How to set up a small online store with frascati: decide how customers pay, prepare your products, connect Stripe, and see when a shop system fits better.

    Decide how customers will pay

    Customers pay through your own Stripe account, with buy buttons or a small shop with a cart. You can also take orders with a form and send an invoice. For a big catalogue with stock levels, product variants and fulfilment, a shop system such as Shopify fits better.

  2. 02

    Prepare your products

    For each product: name, short description, price, variants and a good photo. Your own product photos show customers exactly what they get.

  3. 03

    Start the trial and describe your shop

    Start the 3-day trial: a card is required, and you get 20 credits. Describe your shop and products, or start from the built-in online shop template. The first version takes about two minutes.

    Add your products and photos

    Paste the product details into the chat and upload your photos. frascati never invents prices; a missing one shows as a [placeholder].

  5. 05

    Connect Stripe and add buy buttons

    Connect your Stripe account once by pasting a Stripe key into the secure window in the editor, never into the chat. Then ask for buy buttons or a cart, and try a purchase in test mode first.

    Publish your store

    One click puts it online at a frascati address; with Pro and Business, on your own domain. Share the link wherever your customers are.

Questions

Can I accept payments on my frascati site?
Yes, through your own Stripe account. Buyers pay on Stripe's secure payment page, and the money goes straight to your Stripe account. frascati never sees card data.
How many products can I show?
frascati writes your products into the pages, which suits a small range you can describe in the chat. For a large catalogue with stock levels, an e-commerce platform such as Shopify is built for that.
Should I use frascati or Shopify?
It depends on your range. frascati builds a website with a small shop: buy buttons or a cart, paid through your own Stripe account, with a flat shipping price. Shopify is an e-commerce platform for big catalogues with stock levels, product variants and fulfilment. If online sales are the core of your business, use a shop system; frascati can build the website around it, with buttons that link to your shop.
Does the store work on phones?
Yes. Layouts work on phones, tablets and desktops, and the preview switches between the three so you can check each one.
How do I hear about new orders?
Paid orders appear in the Cloud tab, in the table Orders. You get an email for each one, and the buyer gets a confirmation email. Orders sent through a form arrive as form messages: 50 a month with Starter, 200 with Pro, unlimited with Business.
