How much does it cost to build a website?

frascati, our product: Starter costs $12 a month with 30 credits, 3 published sites and 50 form messages a month. Pro starts at $29 with 80 credits, 10 published sites, your own domains, source code download and no frascati badge. Business starts at $69 with 190 credits, unlimited published sites and form messages, and everything in Pro.

Pro and Business can be booked with more credits a month for a higher price, up to 5,000 credits a month; Starter stays at 30. Paying yearly costs 10 months instead of 12.

Every plan starts with a free 3-day trial with 20 credits. A card is required; cancel before the trial ends and nothing is charged.

Credits pay for the AI work: a new website uses about 3 credits, most changes less than 1. If you need more, credit packs cost $10 for 22 credits, $25 for 60 and $50 for 125. Packs are available once your plan has started, and their credits stay until you use them.

Website builders such as Wix, Squarespace or Jimdo sell paid plans; some also have a free version with limits, and Squarespace offers a free trial instead. Their current prices are on their websites.

WordPress itself is free, open-source software, but you pay for hosting, and often for a theme, plugins or someone to keep it up to date.

A freelance designer or agency usually charges a project fee, often several thousand dollars, plus changes by the hour. In return you get their time and judgement, which suits larger or more custom projects.

Whichever route you take, your own domain name costs a yearly fee at a domain provider. With frascati, connecting it needs Pro or Business.
